    I used this like 3 times and one of the Rods went thru de seams, so bad experience with this one

  • The best light shaping for portraits

    I got this to compliment my ocf beauty dish and use this as a hair light and also body light. Have to say on my first commerical shoot the results was worth the price. Would recommend to any commercial corporate photographer

  • Bring in reinforcements!

    I enjoy using this soft box on most of my shoots. However, the rods recently began to push out through the fabric in the corners of the soft box. For the amount of money, I expect more durability from Profoto.

  • Great quality! A bit difficult to assemble

    Once these things are setup, they rock. I love the OCF mounting and the quality/weight. The only struggle I’ve had is getting the rods seated in the speedring. I ended up bending one rod a bit but was able to fix it no problem. It’s just very difficult. I’m sure with practice I’ll get better, but I’d sure love a link to a video showing tips on how to install the rods more smoothly. Otherwise, love the quality!

  • Awesome lights and modifiers

    Awesome lights and modifiers. The light coming out exceeds expectations. I wish the speedrings were a little easier to breakdown and set up. Agressively bending the rods til you get the hang of it, there’s got to be an easier way.

OCF Softboxes create a soft and flattering light and they’re designed to be fast and easy to use on location. Constructed from a unique material, they are lightweight and easy to fold and unfold, which makes them very compact and portable to carry in your location lighting bag. Add to that the fixed diffuser, the patent-pending speedring and the color-coded rods for extra fast set-up.

The OCF Softbox Strip provides a soft light with long shadow edges from the long side and a harder light from the short side with short shadow edges. This makes it ideal for edge or rim lighting that separates the subject from the background. This effect is often used on the profile of a person or to enhance the curves of an object.

Important to note: Only recommended for Profoto flat front lights. Max 750Ws flash. Only to be used with Profoto flashes with LED modeling light. Must not be used with Profoto flashes with halogen modeling light due to heat resistance.
