  • A step up for ease of use.

    The new flip open Octa is a great upgrade for ease of use. This new Octa maintains the same flat, easy to transport footprint of the older OCF Octa with the added convenience of the built-in speedring and the easy flip open design. The built-in speedring is very much up to the standards of Profoto and seems like it will last a lifetime. Well done.

  • OCF Softbox Octa 3

    In the beginning the installation was very difficult, I could hardly get it done with a lot of force. I left the softbox assembled for a day and then setting up and dismantling was much easier. I am happy with it, the light is very beautiful. And easy to take with you on the go.

  • New Soft Box

    Hard to assemble for a soft box but the light that comes out is really nice. I replace this with a Westcott I had from the 90's and now I feel brand new.

  • Love at First Light

    I have other soft boxes that I use in the studio but this one is now my 'sidekick'. I love it from day one. It's light and versatile. I use it all the time when I go out on shoots.

  • Priced Right!

    Good price, however the modifier arrived with several of the rods poking out of the seams (required repair). It would be nice if the damage was disclosed as the demo page states “units are in excellent condition” not the case.

  • Profoto OCF 3¨ Softbox Octa

    First of all I am grateful for such a quick shipping time. I bought a demo and it was in a perfect condition. This will be a great addition to my many other soft boxes and umbrellas from Profoto. I used it today for the first time and it fulfilled my expectation from Profoto.

  • Good light, poor build

    The light quality is great, but the build is very thin and delicate material. I’d recommend only if you’re looking for the very lightest and most portable softbox you can find which will never be abused.

  • Pleasure to use

    Easy to set up and mount on the B1X or B10. Produces a nice diffuse even light with good catchlights. the 90cm gives a more pleasant / diffuse light than the 60cm alternative.

  • OCF 3 foot softbox

    Quick delivery. Nice item but very difficult to built. Because how tight the rods are it’s hard to click into place especially the last few rods. I love the size but wish it was easier to put together

  • Hard for me to put into speedring

    I do not have an assistant. I am a female photographer and I consider myself very strong. But I have a difficult time putting the soft box poles into the speedring. I may not be able to keep the 3’ soft box. the 2 foot soft box is hard enough and the 3 foot Softbox is nearly impossible for me without breaking the equipment. Any ideas??

  • OCF Octa

    Putting it together was time consuming. While it’s allegedly portable, I’d hate to look ******, spending 20 minutes just assembling it at a shoot outdoors or on location. It does seem to very well made. At 2 foot box is functional, but small.In my studio it’s great for portraits, but not so great for full length. I found an answer to a question about putting RFI softboxes on B10s. It’s a shame you don’t make larger modifiers for the B10/B10+ available. To get a larger, soft light source, I’ve got back the good old umbrellas. The reasons I only gave this a 3 star review is the size and also the extreme cost.

Las OCF Softboxes crean una luz suave y favorecedora; además, están diseñadas para un uso rápido y sencillo en localizaciones. Fabricadas a partir de un material exclusivo, son ligeras y fáciles de plegar y desplegar, lo que las hace muy compactas y portables, para que las lleves en tu bolsa de iluminación para localizaciones. Añade también el difusor fijo, el speedring (pendiente de patente) y las varillas codificadas por color y podrás realizar una instalación extrarrápida.

La OCF Softbox Octa resulta perfecta para la fotografía de retratos, gracias a su forma circular, que genera un atractivo efecto de captura de luz en el ojo del sujeto con un aspecto muy natural. Además, la forma Octa ofrece unos bordes igualmente suaves o marcados en todas sus caras.

Importante: Solamente se recomienda para los flashes de cabeza plana de Profoto. Flash máximo de 750 W. Solo se puede utilizar con flashes Profoto con luz de modelado LED. No se debe utilizar con flashes Profoto con luz de modelado halógena debido a la resistencia al calor.
