Profoto continues to grow and we are now looking for a Project Purchasing Manager to our head office in Stockholm.

What we are looking for

As the Project Purchasing Manager at Profoto you will work in the Operations & Quality department. You will work closely together with Category Management, R&D, Sales & Operations, Contract Manufacturers and Product Management.

As this position is relatively new at Profoto, it comes with great opportunities to influence and develop ways of working, processes and utilization of the new ERP-system.

You will be located in Profoto’s modern HQ in Sundbyberg just outside Stockholm. The position may require some business travels to suppliers in Europe and Asia (~20 days per year).

Key responsibilities

The Project Purchasing Manager is acting as a coordinator, managing sourcing-related activities in the product development projects and is an integral part of the team ensuring timely and successful product launches.

The areas of responsibility includes:

  • Managing sourcing activities during a project phase
  • Support and coordination of category management actions/activities to achieve strategic objectives
  • Manage RFQ activities
  • Manage call off and delivery monitoring to ensure timely deliveries during the project phase
  • Create and maintain COGS calculations
  • Provide input on supplier performance to Category Management
  • Monitor and mitigate risks during the project phase


  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business Administration, Economy)
  • At least 5 years of applicable work experience (including working with hardware products and related development and production activities)
  • Excellent communications skills and fluency in English and preferably also in Swedish
  • Business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Relevant purchasing system knowlegde

It will be meritous if you have experience from working in areas closely linked to engineering, production, cost and quality assurance as well as experience in working with contract manufacturers. Good ERP system knowledge and utilization is also valued.
