Create an account on My Profoto, register your B10/ B10 Plus, and we will let you know by email whenever a new firmware update is available for download. You can create a My Profoto account either on profoto.com or through the Profoto App.
The Profoto B10/ B10 Plus can be used with any camera compatible with the optional Profoto A1/A1X, Profoto Air Remote or one of our other triggers. To enable TTL and High-Speed Sync, you need to use an A1/A1X or Air Remote TTL/ Profoto Connect version that is compatible with your camera brand. You’ll get the most out of the B10/ B10 Plus when you use it as part of the Profoto system, but the B10/ B10 Plus has a built-in infrared slave sensor so you can sync it with other flashes.
Yes. The B10/B10 Plus has Bluetooth and you can use it together with either Profoto iOS app or Profoto Control app for Android. You can control your B10/B10 Plus and upgrade its firmware with both apps. With Profoto iOS app you can also take photos with your iPhone using your B10/B10 Plus as a Xenon flash. Find and download the latest Profoto apps on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Yes. Our products are safe and certified to take on a plane, regardless of your destination. In general, airlines will require you to carry batteries as cabin luggage. On rare occasions, you could be asked to show battery travel documentation, so we recommend you bring it with when travelling.
All light shaping tools in the OCF family are highly recommended and so are all Profoto umbrellas and RFi Softboxes. In addition, almost all “classic” Profoto reflectors can be fitted onto the B10/ B10 Plus. Due to the short and flat front of the B10/ B10 Plus, the zoom range might be limited, or the light effect might not be exactly as advertised. It's also not recommended to use the largest light shaping tools without extra support for the light shaping tool itself. The magnetic accessories for the Profoto A1/ A1X do not fit onto the B10/ B10 Plus. If you are uncertain, please contact us or your local Profoto dealer.
Firmware version B1 adds support for Xenon flash sync from Profoto Camera App. It also includes some minor bugfixes.

Note
If you have already installed version A8 or A9, you will have to update to version A10 via USB-cable from a Mac or PC. From next update you will be able to update via the Profoto App again.
