Profoto's off-camera flashes
Monolights are self-contained off-camera flash units, with independently controlled power settings and light output. Unlike a flash pack, which consists of a separate generator and several flash heads, the monolight has its mains- or battery-powered built-in power source. As a result, they are compact, convenient, powerful lights that help you create beautifully lit images in the studio and on location.
Common to all monolights is that a remote is needed to trigger the flashes if you shoot with a camera. Our latest flashes are built with Profoto’s Bluetooth-enabled technology AirX. It enables you to unleash the full power of the flashes even when shooting from your smartphone, making it possible to capture, edit, and publish, all with the same device.
