  • Excellent - very useful .

    Very easy to use. Just perfect for relative close up work/shadow fills - I prefer a light to a reflector. Easy connection and operation. Clic modifiers very easy to use, and effective.

  • A2 Flash is Excellent

    It’s small size makes it perfect as a travel light… I take it with me everywhere and use it when I need off camera flash to enhance the look I’m trying to achieve.

  • Almost perfect

    An almost perfect mobile flash, just one note, it has happened to me that while working, the flash or rather the flash umbrella (depending on which device is connected to the tripod) has fallen off. It would therefore be a technical refinement if there were a possibility to connect both devices together using, for example, a Velcro strap (there would need to be a special loop in the construction for this). So in an "emergency," neither of the parts would fall to the ground. The flash system in the garment is, however, a powerful tool for a photographer!

  • Portable studio flash.

    It is as small and portable as promised. The dials and buttons are buttery smooth. The housing is of great quality. It is very easy and intuitive to use. I’m planning on investing in some light modifiers to be able to bring out the most of this unit. I carry my unit in my camera bag, no problem at all. Someone mentioned that it didn’t fire when held to close to the transmitter, this happened to me as well, but this happens with other brands as well, probably the nature of the technology.

  • Mostly great

    These are pretty amazing for their size. I do with they had an optical trigger (noisy RF environments cause misfires.) All three of my chargers buzz audibly while charging. It's pretty annoying and I have to charge the batteries on the other side of the studio.

  • Nifty little light

    I recently bought an A2 to try out, which convinced me I need two of these! They are very compact and portable. I love the form factor, very similar to the B10’s I use all the time. And the clic gels and modifiers are super nice! Very convenient. If you’re looking for a light with a bright modeling light that will show through a modifier, or thinking of mounting a heavy modifier, it may not be the right light for you. But it is great for a small, portable, lightweight light

  • Has its uses

    Fun little head but doesn’t’ sync well when it’s too close to the remote so if you plan on using it next to the lens forget about it. It won’t fire .

  • Strobe Flash, with an iPhone?!

    I debated getting one of these to test since I have been trying to move from dragging my Olympus DSLR everywhere and wanting to try to incorporate the ease of carry that my iphone brings to my photography. I do a lot of flash studio type photography and always thought it would be fantastic to be able to use a flash with the iPhone. Well they did it. A bit expensive but what this brings to the game for iPhoneographers is amazing. This has completely changed what iPhones are capable of for photography. Try it. Experiment. You will love it.

  • Perfect for location lighting

    Simple menu, no fumbling around with unnecessary settings, lightweight and very easy setup. No photographer wants to go on location and look for adapters and hunt through lengthy menus, this is why Profoto is king.

  • The flash is great, but it doesn't have all the essential features.

    Great battery life, good light, robust and predictable. But misses trigger by sympathy/slave mode that even the most basic flash has... or a cable/pc sync connection: when the flash is in a certain position a/or to close you can not trigger it

  • Efficient and Lightweight

    As a long-term user of off-camera flash, I rarely use the hot shoe of the flash, which only adds weight. The Profoto A2 now perfectly addresses this issue, being a compact and portable device.

    Love this small flash, that is already part of my usual setup,for the moment seems reliable like all the other lights I own, the cons ( and i was giving 2 star less instead of one ) is the absolute lack of any modifier, i already got an a10 and i can share some of them but at this price...
