I wanted more detail in explanation. Less posing. I purchased the lesson to go over lighting.
It's a great course for the basics. Really good to understand and to follow. I wished a little bit more technic talk about the settings of the camera, the flashes and the position of them.
I especially appreciated watching how Sandy worked through the process of making silhouettes. I love how she directs and instructs her clients - she's fast, clear, and effective. She offers great posing tips, tricks, and techniques.
Loved the fairy set, props, process, direction, and post processing techniques -- especially the addition of lens flare and stars to finish the images.
When filming, there were some periods of time where I couldn't see how the lights were positioned in the room. It would be helpful if the videographer could shoot with a wider angle to allow the audience to really see how the lights are angled and how the flash behaves in the room and in relation to the subject.
Watching Sandy direct the tweens in the park and the teen in the city alley was very informative -- her specific directions were very helpful and I will be sure to work them into my process.
very short, not rich materials
Great post processing tips and 3 lights studio setup
Glad to see the segments are getting longer in part 2 - don't care for the 3 minute segments in part 1 - too short
Don't care for the "sell more product" lines
Post segments are borderline-OK to review a few pics but don't need a Lightroom course
Somehow get the feeling the "kids" in part 2 are all models-it just didn't look like dealing with real unexperienced subjects which would have been useful to learn
Guess I just don't care for her style-When backlit by a low sun using strobes from the opposite direction looks very fake

I am confused about the camera settings . I assume the camera is set to manual with you setting f stop, iso, and shutterspeed with the light on TTL. However you said you didn't use a light meter and let the camera and light do all the thinking. Please clarify.
I didn't like it at all
Good start for basic session. Where does Dad fit in? Siblings?
I would have like to hear more about the light settings - I understand Sandy was using TTL but I thought she could have explained this process and also manual mode on the B1s
The studio session was worth the price of admission for the entire set. Excellent details for working with children, set design, and digital finishing. The only negative feedback is, if you're going to tell me you're using a gray card to set your white balance in the camera, tell me how you're doing that. Lastly, mentioning things that have made your life easier without telling what they are (brand) and where to get them, it really doesn't help, e.g. light stands.
Posing and working with the toddler was great, would have liked to hear more about that. In fact, working with multiple subjects is why we bought this video set.
The park shoot was great, I would liked to have heard about how you set white balance in your camera, when shooting in shadow and using strobe. The alley shoot probably would have benefited from an ND filter to prevent sky blowout. There are lots of rules in photography... why say there isn't?
for me, her voice sounds exhausting and not smooth. Makes me weird and its hard to listen..;(
its lost my money
Very very useful! Thank you very much Sandy!! I am so impressed with your way of being as educational as you are in action...
thanks for all
well done
Very helpful
Actually it is an Amazing course and it is so useful. I am wondering if there is any chance to have a certificate from your side that I have attended this course and took all the benefits related to baby photo shoot rules and positions.
Amazing i learnt alot
Good course for intermediate photographer
I found this course way to basic, I was hoping for one that would have taught me more in the process. What I mean by that the thought process like ok I want to darken the sky and light the subjects. How do you start out, from what I have seen on other video's first shot TTL which gets you close then move to manual etc: The presenter was fine just not what I expected at all. I have purchased 1 BX-1 and 2 A-1. Just looking for more in-depth direction on how to use them.
Helpful, concise guidance - I appreciate the ability to access these videos to review, and refresh my memory on content
highly useful content presented in a user friendly manner
more detail and possibly longer would improve depth of lessons.
Most helpful - easy to apply lessons to the real world
Hope more explanation about shaping tools
Photographing the sunset in the wild,Why not use a diffuser or umbrella?
good
I liked that it has very handson, short with a lot of info, but I also felt it was a little basic. Excited to go into the rest of the series.
more information on setting up light positions and using the remote
